John Nack, Adobe's Senior Product Manager for Photoshop, wrote in his blog of 9/9/06:
"Ooh, now here's a cool development: the OptiPaint system ... I got to play with one for a few minutes at Photoshop World yesterday, and I was surprised at how gratifying it is to work with real, physical art materials, rather than a mouse, trackpad or stylus. I was struck by a clear sense of 'Yeah, this is [how] things oughtta be.'"
The CGSociety feature article, "Wet Paint", focuses on the technology behind the OptiPaint system.  They called it:
"a radical new digital painting system... [that] now works with off-the-shelf desktop computers and laptops."

Here are a couple of pictures of a couple of OptiPaint systems in use at Photoshop World '06 in Las Vegas.
